Null Advisory Blocks
Bring an architecture, a design, a technical proposal or a vendor's technical terms. We review it, write up what we found and what we would do, and walk you through it. Delivered personally by Matthew McGowan, our founder. 1 block (4 hours): $700 2 blocks (8 hours): $1,400 Advisory block rate: $175 an hour, for the bounded engineering work below only. Covers: Second opinions on an architecture, a system design or a technical proposal; Code, infrastructure and cloud configuration reviews; Technical vendor and tool reviews, including the technical terms of a contract; Technical documentation, runbook and security policy review; Similar light, bounded engineering work, agreed before we start. Book a day plan instead for hands-on engineering (/null-engineer/), ongoing leadership (/services/nullcxo/), incident response, or compliance programs. See day plans at /#pricing. Written findings within 2 business days of receiving your materials, per block. Advisory Blocks are bought on their own, separate from day plans, and their hours never count toward plan days or tiers. Unused block hours expire 45 days after purchase. Card through Stripe for add-ons and advisory blocks up to $1,000 (1 block, $700). Above $1,000 (for example 2 blocks, $1,400), payment is by ACH or wire.
